Street Ministry & Scrapbooking

Mr. Ford came to share with us about the Street Ministry.

This Ministry goes out each Wednesday night and feeds

the people they meet and gives them a few sanitary items as well.

The girls were very appreciative of Mr. Ford coming to share

with them and even asked several questions regarding the

Street Ministry.

Mrs. Wrenn is showing the girls what sanitary items

to put in the ziploc bags.

Susan Wilson

We had a great meeting tonight despite the fact we had fewer girls than usual.

Susan Wilson was our speaker. She is a "Been There Done That" mom and she

shared with us the importance of education.

We thank Susan for taking the time to come visit and share with us her testimony.
We played a game tonight called broken telephone. Mrs. Sharon shared a story with two girls.
These two girls went back and each told another girl.
Those two girls told another girl each...and so on.
By the time we were through - the story had changed on both sides.
We wanted to zero in on how damaging hurtful words can be to an individual
and to a group such as ours. Before criticizing someone else, we need to pause long enough to discover our own motives. Failing to do this can bring disastrous results.

Mrs. Denise turned 42 today and the girls

got her a birthday cake! It sure was good!

After each meeting, the girls have some time to shop in our

Mops Closet. Here are a few pictures of the girls shopping.

Some friends have donated their old but new baby clothes,

so they were also able to get some "FREE" items which is always nice!

Well of course she knew the answer.....NOT - she was a nervous wreck

So, instead of using the copy, peek, or save for help

She got brave and asked the host, Ken, if she could phone a friend

He said SURE! So, she called Sharon Montgomery

Only to find that Sharon was no longer sitting in her seat - she had moved

toward the front - a little panicky - Mrs. Denise waited...and finally Mrs. Sharon answered!

Thankfully Mrs. Sharon knew the answer.....now the question is.... do you?

MOPS VALENTINE BANQUET

What a great night. We were blessed with some of our own Parkway Members who cooked a DELICIOUS meal and provided EXCELLENT entertainment. We want to thank the Morning and Evening MOPS for having us a part of their banquet.

We were blessed with the entertainment by Hunter Sparkman. He shared with us some of his own songs he wrote and the meanings behind them. He is truly gifted and we thank him for making the trip back home.

What a GREAT group of friends, TeenMOP leaders, and Sunday School Teachers!

Tonight we had our Bible study from our book

Life After Birth

We discussed how we would do some things different from our own moms

as well as doing the same things in raising our children.

We had a great time playing Pictionary - we used words that were important

qualities for a mother to have. Girls were very good at drawing and getting the right answer!

We finished up by discussing a few Bible verses to help us realize
