Let's Pray For Bella

Bella is a 3 month old angel who is critically ill. On Wednesday she was fine by Thursday morning she was running fever and placed on a ventilator. Thursday night her kidneys completely shut down. Her heart rate was in the 200's and her blood pressure was down to 59. She has received 10 - 15 blood transfusions to date. She has deep tissue damage. Her condition is rare. The doctors at UMC only see about 2 -3 cases a year and Bella's is the most aggressive and rare case they have ever seen. Doctors said its pretty much an hour by hour wait. Her chances of survival are a little bit better than they were when we got here. They said they didn't know if she would make it through the first night. We have been here since Thursday morning and it's Sunday now. She is diagnosed with Meningococcemia is an acute and potentially life-threatening infection of the bloodstream that commonly leads to inflammation of the blood vessels (vasculitis). We will try and keep you updated on Bella. If you are on Facebook, you may keep up at "Let's Pray for Bella". Please continue your prayers for Lisa and for Bella and their families. As of right now, please no visitors, the family needs as much rest as possible.
