We had the opportunity to have Penny Jones come share with us about the importance of nutrition. She went over the pyramid food groups and then...got to the good stuff, the cooking. Penny printed out a few good recipes for everyone and then shared with us how to make some of them. Even baked us some delicious cinnamon rolls. Yum! Yum!

MOPS Convention, Dallas Texas

This years MOPS convention was held in Dallas Texas. Twelve moms (6 from TeenMOPS and 6 from the morning MOPS group) were fortunate enough to go for inspiration, encouragement, and new ideas. Not only did we learn from the moms in our group, we were able to share ideas with several different groups around the country. Thank you Parkway Baptist Church for your support. We would not be teh same group without YOU! Please understand that we don't all take the best pictures all the time. Hope you enjoy viewing the photos!

Baby Steps to Forgiveness

Chapter II in our Life After Birth study covered forgiveness and it didn't take us long to realize that it is not as easy to forgive as we would hope. When someone hurts us and we carry that with us and don't forgive, we are the ones that are hurting. Healing comes with forgiving. Several verses were shared and one that brought comfort to each of us was that all of us have sinned and that puts everyone on the same level, but another one was how God forgives us the same way we forgive others. If we want God to forgive us for our sins, we need to be able to forgive others when they hurt us. Ouch!
