October 11th - MOVIE DAY - Sign up TODAY!!!!!

On Saturday, October 11th, the TeenMOPS mentors will be taking the group to see the new movie FIREPROOF. Childcare will be provided. We will meet at Parkway Baptist Church at 1:45. Then will go to the movie that starts at 2:30. After the movie we will return to the church and have Pizza for supper. Afterwards we will have the opportunity to discuss the movie.

A couple of things you must know are: 1. YOU MUST SIGN UP BY THIS FRIDAY, October 3rd by 4:00 pm. 2. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO STAY FOR THE ENTIRE TIME... including the discussion.

Tonight, Mrs. Denise, who was a teen mom 24 years ago, shared her story with 19 of our Teen Mops. Five of the girls were brand new and three of the girls from last week came back. We are so blessed to have the girls come and be a part of our group. Below Tori was making poses for Mrs. Jenny...

Jaden Elise was born to Breanne today at 3:22. She weighed in at 6 lbs 3 oz. Mom and baby are doing great.

Educational Services Foundation Speaker

Tonight we had a guest speaker, Vicki Manley, from the Education Service Foundation. She is a College Planning Counselor. Vicki talked to the girls about getting their GED, applying for college and taking the ACT. She even gave them a personality test and some of the girls said it described them perfectly. Vicki gave them a folder full of information which they were all excited about. We can't thank her enough for coming to share with us.

As you can see, we had a large group tonight. We had four new girls join us.

The Mens Factor!

It's the beginning of a NEW Year for TeenMOPS

Tonight we started our new year. Hard to believe a year has gone by already.

Each Wednesday night will be something different. The first Wednesday night we will be doing Bible studies from the book "Life after Birth" - Bible Studies and Encouragement for the Teen Mom. The second Wednesday night we will have a guest speaker. The third Wednesday night we will have a "Life Lesson" speaker. Then on the fourth Wednesday night we will scrapbook.

Tonights chapter was "But I Chose Life".

We had a good group tonight and many shared with us about being a Teen Mom.

Tonights menu was Roast Beef, mash potatoes, fried okra,

green peas and that always delicious roll.

The girls painted picture frames tonight. Looking forward to

seeing the finished projects next week after they dry.

The Men's Factor

A new class is starting for the guys - of any age! Some of the "Pops" in our group are going to attend while the girls meet for TeenMops. We would love for you to bring your husband, boyfriend, or father of your child for supper and then they could attend "The Men's Factor". Look forward to seeing you each Wednesday.
